As August is here for many people it is the end of the summertime schedule. It is the time when children begin to get ready to head back to school and those vacations are finishing up.

The morning began earlier, and the nights time became later. We spent the last few months doing different things. Different things because our time was different. For those of us with children at home for the summer, it meant figuring out how to fill ourbored children with activities and all those extra lunches and snacks. How did you ever get any work done.

For those not with families, we probably had a lot more outdoor activities to take part in.

All this was good. But so is down time. Sunup to sundown can make us exhausted.

This would be the perfect time to start a new agenda and remember that days that are filled from Sunup to sundown are not healthy. What are you planning to do to change or let go? By the time this blog is published, it will be the last week of August and the children will settle into their school routine and you have settled back into the work routines. What have you changed in your life so that you are not running and busy from sunup to sundown? You know the holiday season is coming sooner than we think. So, now is the perfecttime to be still sometimes and ensure our mental, emotional and physical needs are met. Yes, those are more important than working on anything from sunup to sundown…. even if it is something you enjoy.

It seems like a phrase we have been hearing a lot of in the past few years. What is balance? Balance needs to be explored in all areas of your life. Your personal life and your business life. Since this is a business blog, we will be talking about our business lives. But as I am sure you can imagine; balance must include both.

We have heard the tombstone stories of the person that works too much. There they lay in the grave looking for the next client, or my boss wanted me to work a few more hours, sorry honey, maybe tomorrow.
