Is your time worth anything? Is it worth anything to you personally and is your time worth anything in your business?
What I am asking is do you schedule things at work, but it takes additional time to complete the task? We all mentally think that it will take us a certain amount of time to do something, but more time than we want to admit, it takes us longer to complete the project.
So many times, it is because we are trained to do a specific job but in this world of business, we are also asked to do things that we are not really trained or like to do. We love our jobs, so we give it a stab. The boss feels we can take on this new job and so we accept.
If it is a new task, it will take a lot of hours to learn. This will also put your other work aside and will not get done or to the best of your ability. Is that what you want to do?
Most of us want to put our best work out there. It not only represents our company, but it is either shining a light on you or it is making you look bad.
